🌍 What is Beat the Streets?

Beat the Streets is a grassroots project on a bold mission: to walk alongside people experiencing homelessness — from first contact on the streets, right through to a safe home and meaningful work.

We believe in second chances. We believe in practical support. And most of all, we believe that no one should be left behind just because they fell through society’s cracks.

🚐 How We Help

💛 Street Outreach & Support
Our team — including those with lived experience — goes directly to where people are sleeping rough. We listen, support, and build trust.

🚐 Welfare Vans on the Ground
Our vans bring warmth, care, and essential supplies: hot food, blankets, hygiene packs, and emotional support — right to the street.

📮 Providing a Legal Address
No address? No chance. We give individuals a secure postal address so they can get ID, apply for jobs, access benefits, and register for healthcare.

🏕️ Creative Housing Solutions
While the housing crisis worsens, we’re exploring safe land-based tent communities as temporary transitional shelter, with basic sanitation and on-site support.

📈 From Surviving to Thriving
We support every step of the journey: ID recovery, health referrals, addiction support, CV writing, job interviews, housing referrals and aftercare.

Homelessness isn’t just a statistic. It’s someone’s brother, daughter, friend.
Too often, support systems are confusing, slow, or simply missing.
We’re here to fill those gaps — and build bridges, not barriers.
