The Beaming Light Foundation is a grassroots charity based in the North East of England, dedicated to supporting those facing homelessness, hardship, and vulnerability — especially young people.
We believe no one should be left in the dark. Our mission is to shine a light on the forgotten, offering hope support, and a pathway to a better life.
From providing essential items and emotional support to empowering youth through mentoring and community outreach, our work is hands-on, heart-led, and rooted in compassion. We also assist families in crisis, playing an active role in the search and support for missing and vulnerable individuals.
Driven by lived experience, local knowledge, and a deep commitment to change, our team is made up of people who care — people who believe in second chances, community strength, and turning lives around. We’re not just a charity. We’re a movement of kindness, action, and hope.

My name is Craig, and I founded this charity because I’ve walked the same tough roads as many of the people we now support. I’ve faced homelessness, poverty, and made mistakes that led me down the wrong path. But with time, support, and determination, I turned my life around—building a new future through hard work and a career in hospitality management. This charity was born from that journey. It’s a place of second chances, hope, and real change. We’re here for those who are homeless, living in poverty, or trying to rebuild their lives after time on the wrong side of the law. No judgement. Just support, guidance, and a belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to start again. We don’t just offer help—we offer understanding. And we work every day to give people the tools, skills, and confidence they need to take back control of their lives, just like I did.Together, we’re building something better. One life at a time.
